A drop-in session means that you can book single tickets to the session. You will then share the sauna with others who have booked at the same time.

Drop-in sessions have capacity for 10 people.

We offer drop-in sessions on a regular basis on Wednesdays at 6 pm and Saturdays at 12 am.

All the other sessions are available for private hire where you have the whole sauna float to yourselves.

• 2 towels; one to sit on in the sauna + one to dry yourself with
• Swimwear for shared sauna sessions. For private sessions you choose if you want to use swimwear or not.
• Water bottle
• Plastic bag for wet clothes
• Appropriate shoes depending on weather (ca 100 meters fairly steep walk across the field from parking to the sauna)
• Optional: swimming socks & gloves in winter (wool socks/gloves are also great)

You can find the sauna in Lunde, Telemark - in a beautiful and tranquil location at Tveitankroken, between Lunde and Vrangfoss - approximately 5-6 km from the center of Lunde.

For now, while we still have other jobs, the sauna is available:

Wednesdays kl 16-21.30 (shared sauna session at 6 pm)

Thursdays kl 16-21.30

Saturdays kl 10-21.30 (shared sauna sessions at 12)

Sundays kl 10-21.30

Since we heat up the sauna for you, all sessions must be booked in advance. Preferably the day before, but if the booking calendar shows available slots the same day - feel free to book.

• Feel free to bring your own snacks, but for hygiene reasons, food is not allowed inside the sauna itself.
• Alcohol is not permitted in the public sauna/drop-in sessions.
• For private bookings, a maximum of 2 units of beer, white wine, or sparkling wine per person is allowed. Red wine and spirits are not permitted.

However, sauna and swimming are best and safest without alcohol, and both activities are at your own risk.

• Guests are encouraged to shower/be clean before arrival.
• The sauna is cleaned and tidied after each visit by us.

PS: Most bacteria die at 60 degrees Celsius. Upon arrival, our sauna will always be heated to over 70 degrees.

If you rent the whole sauna for your group (private rental), you can be up to 10 persons.

At drop-in/shared sessions we have lowered the number to 9 persons to make it more comfortable for people not knowing each other.

• The sauna and lounge will be preheated when you arrive.
• There is no toilet on the floating platform.
• Swimming is possible in the Telemark Canal from the bathing ladder (year-round).
• Changing area with hooks for hanging clothes.
• A separate heated lounge is available for those who do not wish to stay in the sauna for the entire session. The warm lounge can also be used as a changing room, but please avoid wet swimwear here.
• Free parking.

We have no age limit, but children must be accompanied by an adult.

• You will be welcomed by us and given a quick safety briefing upon arrival.
• Guidelines for use are posted in the changing area (and are also available on our website).
• Guests should never swim alone! For this reason, we do not allow only one guest to stay on the sauna raft. If you end up alone during a drop-in session, you will either be offered to reschedule your booking or we will be present in the lounge while you use the sauna.
• Important phone numbers (emergency numbers and our contact information) can be found in the changing area.
• A fire extinguisher and first aid kit are available in the changing area.
• A lifebuoy is available by the pier.
